TVfreedom.org Supports House Judiciary Committee STELA Legislation

Washington, D.C. – Robert C. Kenny, spokesman, TVfreedom.org, issued the following statement in support of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s Passage of Bipartisan STELA Legislation:

“Today, TVfreedom.org applauds the U.S. House Judiciary Committee for passing bipartisan legislation (H.R. 5036) to reauthorize the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act (STELA). We thank Chairmen Goodlatte and Coble for their leadership on this important issue and the full Committee’s actions to pass this noncontroversial legislation for the benefit of America’s television viewers. We especially thank each of the Judiciary Committee members for standing up for consumers by passing this bill absent one-sided legislative add-ons advocated for by the unified pay-TV lobby. Today’s action by the full Committee represent a convincing win for the American consumer.”
