* Nearly Two Dozen U.S. Cities Expected to Be Part of Tour in 2015

Washington, D.C. – Hundreds of DC-area residents flocked to Eastern Market on Capitol Hill today to take advantage of a free 1,000 digital TV antenna giveaway sponsored by TVfreedom.org, Antennas Direct and LG Electronics USA.

The event, part of a 25-city ‘Broadcast TV Liberation Tour’ that will help educate Americans on the convenience, affordability and choice of free antenna TV, was deemed an overwhelming success. Some 1,000 TV antennas were distributed by Antennas Direct in just over one hour. As part of the day’s activities, LG Electronics also awarded a free LG 42-inch LED flat-panel HDTV to DC resident Andrew Miller, a middle school history teacher in Prince George’s County, Md.

Richard Schneider, founder and President, Antennas Direct, said, “Today we witnessed the tangible proof of the growing demand for free broadcast TV among American families. The free digital antenna giveaway at Eastern Market was a worthy centerpiece of our year-long tour and we look forward to liberating more families in cities across America through the power of free and local broadcast TV.”

“Today was an empowering day for TV viewers in Washington, D.C.,” said TVfreedom spokesman Robert C. Kenny. The power and reach of free, local broadcast television was on full display. We thank our partners Antennas Direct and LG Electronics for their support, and for the hundreds of DC residents who learned they can save hard-earned money by switching to a broadcast television option that is free of charge and offers the best picture quality with a multiplicity of program options.”

This multi-state tour, with stops anticipated in nearly two dozen additional U.S. cities, will pick up again after the New Year.
